Amy Mazur, LMSW

I am an LMSW with a specialization in couples. I graduated from the Adelphi University School of Social Work. I practice clinical social work and psychotherapy with adult individuals, couples and groups.

I have had experience working with adults with a variety of mental health issues including bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and childhood trauma. However, I believe that almost anyone can benefit from therapy at different transition points in life. As a firm believer in evidence based practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Problem Solving Therapy and Mindfulness as useful interventions that can assist in helping clients feel more empowered in their own lives and relationships. These interventions can offer tools and coping skills that will help my clients throughout their lives, and be better equipped to deal with life’s uncertainties as they arise.
