Summer is here! The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming and the sun is shinning. We often think of summer as a time for easy living; smelling the wet pavement after a thunderstorm, listening to the waves crash at the beach and watching the sun set as the evening cools. What better time than the end of summer to learn about mindfulness, enhance the season many of us have been eagerly waiting for and develop a deeper connection with your partner?
Mindfulness is a practice of being present in the moment and fully aware of your body, thoughts, feelings and surroundings. Continued mindfulness has been shown to increase positive emotions and relationship satisfaction, heighten our ability to focus and improve social and relational skills. Summer is a great time to build mindfulness skills and help you experience this season in a way that you may never have before. We often talk about getting our body in shape for the summer, but how about our mind? Summer is here but not for long. Let’s Fall for each other again and keep the Summer Loving going all year long. If you and your partner are interested in learning more about mindfulness and how this can enhance your relationship, please join us for the Endless Summer Loving Mindfulness group.
